If you think my last post was a bit harsh on PRs, here is a pitch I received this afternoon.
“Do you want to interview this guy [details of who he is and where he is from removed to avoid embarassment] at 10am next Wednesday? Some nice enterprise web 2.0 angles to explore! Collaboration etc….He is obviously here to meet customers! ]
“This guy” was explained using a cut and paste of what seems to be a press release previewing a user conference that makes it clear everything he has to say has already made it into the public domain anyway, a couple of weeks ago.
If the PR concerned has been reading the outlet he’s targeting, he’ll know we had reporters there and this did not make news the first time around.
