One of the secondary annoyances PRs inflict on journos is the “has that item we discussed run anywhere yet?” call or email.
It is an annoyance because:
- PRs really should, IMHO, read and find it themselves
- PRs can pay people like Media Monitors to read and find for them
It is a secondary annoyance because at least it is not displaying total ignorance of things they sell expertise in.
And it is not as bad as the “did you receive the press release?” call.
Anyway … the reason I mention this is that I have had three of these calls in the last 24 hours and a couple of the PRs have said Media Monitors are actually kind of shite, hence their calls.
